After publishing this article, I've heard from many that CR seems to be using AI to produce dub CCs. Now, thanks to a slip-up CR had with episode 6 dub of The Banished Court Magician, we can say that with 100% certainty: Crunchyroll is using the AI service Ollang.com for its dub closed captions!

i really think ads on youtube would be better if they just program the ads to align with chapter markers that the creators put in.
there is literally a tool designed to indicate breaks in the video, and somehow in 2025 youtube ads are like: ah, middle of the sentence, during a ramp up! perfect!

honestly the worst thing to happen to online audio and video is midroll ads. put premium ads at the front, cheap ones in the back, and let the creator put sponsors in the middle. like it should be a law or something!

i think being told that human brains seek patterns, and that it is why a chaotic world can be hard for most people to accept, continues to be a reassuring thought, especially when faced with today's overuse of LLMs making people not understand what a chatbot actually does: pattern recognition

i want to remind anime fans that for every horrific example of visual edits an anime received to air on tv there are an equal amount of anime that received no edits, just cut frames and scenes, because the english team often was underpaid and could save time by not drawing over someone else's art.

was it a good use of my time to make a spreadsheet calculating the rarity of wild pokemon in generation 1 based on an average of encounter percentages? maybe not.
but i was able to make up a dumb formula for how trades and game corner prizes count so i had fun and that is what matters!

i can confirm that i definitely prefer the "sleep in the morning" options when working overnights, because "sleep in the afternoon" makes me feels insane

we can agree it is absolutely crazy that ai content is popular with anyone over 40, right? like i figured they would be the most vocally against it, but now it feels like they are like the primary target of some of the most blatantly fake and ugly ai content
