It annoys me to see how many people don’t know how to think backwards while keeping tabs on existing condition. It’s probably the simplest way to create plan.

The reason why your company isn’t growing as fast: the inability to attract and retain A-class talents.

adityop.medium.com/when-setting... New article is up! Something that I learn from setting up OKRs in the past.
When Setting OKRs Is A Waste
Tell me if you’ve been here before. It’s the beginning of the year, when your company is starting to roll out its OKRs that trickles down…

Remote working is a very appealing setup for dads who are looking to be closer to their families. Time is changing. The era of fathers solely focus on being providers and absent from day to day nurturing of their kids is diminishing.

I think modern video games are optimized for long customer lifetime. The longer players play a title, the bigger possibility for them to pay for more content. Transaction is no longer happening once.

I’m kickstarting a series of writing around the topic of RAG. To set the fundamental, this is the first entry, discussing how RAG works

My biggest gripe is kids exposed too early to competitive gaming, even in a casual setting. Gone are the era of exploring and enjoying lore. Nowadays, it’s instant gratification in 2-3 minutes. Rinse and repeat to point of daily habit.

I was reading article that describes agentic AI in RAG pipeline. But it got me confused. Time to do some more readings.

This is a wonderful Saturday! Spoke at 2 events where I get the chance to showcase my AI experience! Can’t wait to build something interesting 😄

Also to top it off, spent the evening having dinner with my 3 kids. Just the 4 of us.

Late addition, but this means I’ll be speaking in 2 different events, this Saturday! See ya!

PS: this is such a nice way for me to learn more technical stuff, to compliment getting nerdy on product side

Indeed!
We lost norms and eusociality, and replaced them with: bullshit amplification, “viral fame”, identity & social graph capture, and VC-funded extraction of attention

The serendipity was gone. The feeling of “a space” was gone.
We realize now that *norms*, not URLs, define a human space.

Nice, using managed Kubeflow in Vertex Pipeline as orchestrator for TFX pipeline. Going further into this field.

Thinking of procure a Thinkpad for a sole purpose of running Linux, Kubeflow and TFX. Learning this stack has been interesting so far.

Or maybe I should pivot to ML engineer role? 😂

Yesterday I was on duty as internal company hackathon judge and I have to say that I'm humbled and blown away by the entries, without any exception. Crazy how much innovation can happen when APIs are made accessible.

Congrats to the winners and everyone who participate. I came home fully inspired.

Bluesky feels like early Twitter/Facebook days: playground for developers to tinker around.

Unlike Threads which seems to geared towards influencers.

Similar feature but different starting approach.

In case you missed it: Bluesky runs on-prem. They migrated off of AWS months back.

So yeah, they DO need to put orders in for servers! (Good luck to the dev team!)
