So, the people who've been putting Bibles in classrooms, the Ten Commandments in courthouses, and legislating away women's rights to their bodies are suddenly worried about the mixing of politics and religion, huh?

the thing about the meaning of the birthright citizenship clause in the constitution is that just because you can *imagine* a world where there *might have been* a debate over its scope doesn't mean there was *actually* a debate over its scope

I’m working on a novel that has a plotline related to a board like this and am lurking on a bunch of them and if you want to fully understand why Reeves, Galloway, etc don’t get it, go see for yourself.
If you want to see these conversations in real time, go to any men’s board on Reddit that has to do with dating women. Note the men complaining that they can’t attract women who look like Emma Stone or whoever — and this is because women are shallow in their opinion

The newest climate denial organization has arrived on Bluesky. Don't be surprised that it's from the EU. Climate denial is present in most high-income countries, where ever there's people who fear climate action will negatively affect them.

Please join me in reporting and blocking them.

Sure, Trump was just joking about the risks to hypothetical Harris supporters at his rally in Wisconsin. But this kind of "joking" normalizes political violence, and it makes me worry about the volunteers out canvassing in swing states, like my kids and I were yesterday.

Scientific racism doesn't stop at Trump or his campaign associates like Steven Miller, it's more or less the lifeblood of the Thiel-connected technofacist circles that JD Vance peddles in.

I don't know where this map came from—I haven't yet been able to trace it to any reputable site—but it is NOT an accurate representation of present Florida evacuation orders. And it seems counterproductive to exaggerate when the reality is nerve-racking enough. 1/n

did you know millipedes produce silk? those that do, like this species in the order Chordeumatida, use it to make secure shelters for molting.

I was just about to give up and go to bed when I took one last look outside… and promptly grabbed my camera and drove out to the pond. This phone shot makes it look a bit lighter than it actually was, but it was still beautiful. #aurora

Lot of people confused by this image. Let me point out that:

1) In the last few years i have been forced to accept that Tokyo Joshi is legit one of the best wrestling promotions out there. Amazing talent and matches. Always fresh.

2) That bear is called Andre the Giant Panda. He had it coming.
