On this day in 1911, Josh Gibson was born in Buena Vista, GA. Perhaps the best power hitter of his era, the stories about him regularly straddle the fence between fact and myth, feeding imaginations as to what we missed. Here’s my painting of him with the Pittsburgh Crawfords in 1935.
