Good evening from outside the ICE processing facility in Broadview, IL. The scene at the moment m calm but very tense. Federal agents and several dozen protestors separated by the large fence that was erected - Broadview officials say illegally - earlier this week.

Stephen Colbert didn’t retire. CBS pulled the plug. Not for ratings, but because truth became too expensive. In a sanitized media landscape, satire is being dismantled piece by piece. Colbert was just the next to fall.
