To be clear they did inform their first customers that it was a proof of concept and the “AI” was a human

For MAXIMUM alpha, you should watch The Iliad on outdated VCR tapes. This method increased my alpha by slightly more than three!

That's right, my Beta alpha delta is pi.

Quantum computing person here- what you’re looking at is a dilution refrigerator, which is a type of cryostat that can reach as low as .2% of a degree above absolute zero.

It’s technically the housing that the computer lives in, but the actual quantum computer looks really boring compared to this.

This reminds me, more than anything, of the inside of a mechanical clock

It’s pretty cold in here but since it’s well above absolute zero, I’m reasonably certain neither quantum computer is operational

Bizarrely, the hotel interior itself kind of looks like a giant quantum computer

The easiest way to avoid it is to fly lower, but that can burn far more fuel, so they’d always prefer to go around

Satellites continually monitor the ozone layer across the entire world, primarily for climate modeling, but airlines monitor the feeds to help with passenger comfort

Before they did that, pilots had to use their nose and best judgment to avoid it
