Got some cheap ink and good paper. Printing is a go.

Here's the first one.

A poem for while I work on posters.

---

"Stand up
for your rights
And your neighbors

Stand up
with your love
And your rage

Don’t give
those pendejos
the limelight

Get up
on the fucking stage"

A cabbage butterfly resting in the garden last evening.

It's a good day to rest and enjoy time with friends and family; and if you cannot, another day will do as well.

There is time to process and work against the effects of HR1. There is good work being done already.

We will continue, friends.

Every time I run it I’m like well maybe things will get better but unfortunately they just keep getting worse. Let’s throw more street art at it.

It’s free and online, so come

So the suspected republican assassin in the murder of a state legislator here in Minnesota and the attempted murder of another ran his own private security firm, and multiple members of his family were police.
Someday people will accept that what those of us on the academic side are saying is true

It’s fucking infuriating that the authoritarian regime has troops in the streets and all you hear in coverage is concern about “anarchists and extremists.”

The fascists are fucking extreme.

Corporate media is a curse on this society.

An interesting experiment last week with a very slow film (ISO 3). Visited a nearby city garden on a bright day, shot with a Nikkormat at 1/60s shutter speed, and pushed the film 1 stop in development.

Success! High contrast, low grain.

please we are so tired we cannot do all the things ourselves

I want really important stuff that might kill me to be in the hands of people who studied that shit their whole life so that mastering the complexities of every aspect of human existence at once is not suddenly all on me, a theatre major
I could be wrong about this but I really think most Americans do not want to be forced to “do their own research” about food & drug & product safety and would rather that the government agencies that have been sorting that all out for them for decades not be obliterated in the name of “efficiency.”

Sunset yesterday at Wingra Dam, watching waterfowl as the lake turned copper in the fading light. #birds

This week I learned about the Lake Wingra dam in Madison, WI and the muskellunge that leap there this time of year.

They rarely succeed, and the water is low this week, but it's been wonderful to visit, with many other people coming and going during this special couple of weeks.

Got out to Gov. Nelson State Park on a bright day, with a Nikkormat + SFX 200 film (partly infrared-sensitive) / red #25 filter to darken the sky.

The prairie is only beginning to awaken, so dark wood and bright pale grasses provide strong contrast.

This bur oak is my favorite local tree. :)

I watched an hour or so of the eclipse this morning - a beautiful warm night (for March).

I love to see the stars appear again as the shadow encroaches; my favorite: just before totality, with a little bright sun still reflected from the top edge of the disc.
