Given the number of proven/ accused abusers, would perpocracy be more appropriate
A kakistocracy is a “government by the least suitable or competent citizens of a state.” Trump’s nominees to key cabinet positions represent the unholy fusion of incompetence, white supremacy, and cruelty—a de facto kakistocracy.

The receipts are not pretty:

Trump Nominees Are Not Just A Joke — They Are Dangerous
They lack qualifications, have histories of sexual abuse, have zero regard for human rights, and point to a broader MAGA hypocrisy

This cartoon is literally just Plato's analogy of the ship of state, the OG anti-democracy argument. Its continued popularity is, in fact, very bad.

We have sadly forgotten that liberal democracy imposes those constraints PRECISELY BECAUSE it had to fight for its existence against systems of unchecked power. Democracy in the modern West was almost literally defined by preventing abuses of power that would otherwise simply happen all the time.
