The Heritage Foundation's Project 2025 called for dismantling the NOAA, which provides warnings of natural disasters, such as the deadly floods in Texas. The irony is that Heritage wanted these cuts because it’s angry that NOAA helps prove the reality of climate change--the thing causing floods.

When it comes to judging situations, we should never be partial in our reasoning. If we try to favor one party, instead of being just, we are doing a great injustice to the wronged person, and we are also doing a great disservice to ourselves as children of God.

A mother is a blessing to her family. Mothers are known to be the glue that holds the family together – after Christ, that is. If you have been privileged enough to have a loving and dedicated mother, take time out to appreciate her or thank God for her.

This is the line from the horrific SCOTUS decision today that will stick with me. “Sure, the president should follow the law - but the courts can’t force him to do it.” Rendering the Constitution a dead letter if the president decides he’d rather not deal with it.

1/ If Justice Barrett thinks we need to go back to what the Founding Fathers intended, I’ve got news for her. Their biggest concern was avoiding tyranny. So they created 3 branches of gov’t & divvied up the power the people (that’s us) were allowing the gov’t to use to create order for all of us.
