Trump does not care about Ukrainian sovereignty or democracy. Trump does not frame this war as one between good vs evil, democrats vs autocrats, or the colonized vs the imperialists. He just wants the war to end so he can take credit. The details don't matter to him at all.

DOJ officials/attorneys should be speaking publicly and resigning loudly. Too many collaborators throughout the U.S. government, but DOJ, DHS, and State will need wholesale cleansing of those career officials who have been complicit in ignoring the rule of law and the Constitution.
The US is not a liberal democracy, and hasn’t been since January. Constitution, rule of law, checks and balances, individual rights — all not in operation.
It’s now a mixed regime, autarky, competitive authoritarianism.
