This isn't just our legislature's fault, but also a result of TABOR. TABOR sets arbitrary limits on the revenue our state can collect, which is what causes the budget holes that give our lawmakers an excuse to cut programs like these.
right now, shiny Blue State Colorado will cut subsidies to electric bikes and vehicles in half next year.
Colorado is fucking this up, all because our governor and Democratic legislature preferred to give property tax cuts.

When digging up Colfax Ave. for the BRT project, we dug some some streetcar rails too! Sad that we have to go through all this to restore what we used to have.
Apparently, this is the scene on SW 11th Avenue at Market Street at the moment – double streetcar track fully exposed by a roadworks project at PSU. It remains to be seen if the track will be torn out or covered over again.
