A few years ago someone told to me that men aren’t taught to be men, they’re just taught to be terrified of being thought womanly, and that this demonization of “things women are or do” is just blunt misogyny, which is also behind homophobia and transphobia, and they were 100% right.
Just submitted my abstract for Haunted America! I'm so excited (and terrified, I've been told I'm a great speaker but public speaking freaks out my anxiety). As Penny Lane would say, "It's all happening!" ✨️

I love demonology and my research in it, but I will be the first to tell you that Satanic Panic and accompanying demonic fantasy is a horrific reality. People scare themselves with ideas of demons and then people who work in demonology have to fix what the public thinks they know.
