This articulates how I feel exactly. Mamdani is exciting; AOC is exciting. Not because they’re perfect, but because they are quite ethical and they’re good at messaging.
Let this moment be a wakeup call to stop taking some of the far-left seriously.

Mamdani isn't good enough for them. Nor is Rep. AOC. Nor is Sen. Sanders. No one is good enough for them.

Yeah this is a list of what I will not be doing
Actual advice for (US) No Kings:

No names, no phones, black clothes you've never worn before, masks, gloves, good shoes, eye protection, water...

Utilise the military guys in your ranks. Give them radios that connect with people flying drones above the rally. Co-ordinate movements accordingly.

We don't hear much about the Texas 1836 project these days. Maybe because the 1836 Texas Constitution went to great lengths to write down how Texas is an explicitly white supremacist project, with slavery at the very heart of its founding.

My lab's been attacked by an anti-wind group and their lawyers. They threatened the science funding of my whole university, to shut me and my undergraduate research assistants up.

NYT just covered it. 1/n

I love Texas. We have the best food, the best music, the best culture, and an amazing diversity of people there. We have a shitty government, but it's, like, a third of the state that votes for it. You don't know Texas. I fucking love Texas. Stop shitting on Texas if you haven't lived there.

I think this singer is earnest, but I’m really not sure. Equal parts the worst I’ve ever heard, the strangest, and maybe kinda brilliant? Gives almost early Borat vibes.

@mosebuchele.bsky.social Look, I’m going to double my monthly contribution to KUT, but your last post here was one month ago — can’t expect people to follow if you don’t post. I understand you’re required to be on xitter, but I’m not and won’t be anytime soon.
