Today, several Denver schools are closed due to record head. Meanwhile, earlier this week, our mayor fired nearly 30% of the office working on climate sustainability and resiliency. Make it make sense.

Staying up late making my own packs of crayons and colored pencils for my kids school supplies bc I refuse to buy new when we have hundreds in our house already!

I find it so weird that nomadic families traveling around in RVs (and posting it on social media) don’t have their kids on seatbelts or car seats. Can’t they still get hurt in a crash!?

Timed up our light rail from the DEN airport so we could take the bus home from the station. The RTD bus driver inexplicably decided to roll out 5 min early (another driver on another bus relayed this info) so we missed the bus. Next one wasn’t for an hour. Paid $25 for an Uber to go 3mi. So lame.

Way too many cars in the superbowl…

Just got in an eye-shouting match with a driver at my kids’ school who wanted me to move (on my bike) at an intersection so she could park illegally. I just kept waving her to go forward but she wanted to back up into me. It wasn’t a parking spot! It said “No Parking.” Parents at pickup are crazy.

Oranges as a Lunar New Year gift. Cones from teaching a full barre class at the rec center. It’s a good day! What’s good in your world today?

The snow is melting fast in Denver…Hoping to be back on the bike for school commutes tomorrow! 🤞🏼 How snowy is it on the streets where you live?

I’m so grateful to live near nature. There’s a large park and golf course within walking distance of my house. I sometimes take it for granted. My health would be much worse without this green (white!?) space. Cities need to prioritize these spaces for the public health of their citizens.

We're Making Fox Great Again

The only Fox News you should be listening to.

"If they pounced to the north-east, they killed on 73% of their attacks; if they jumped in the opposite direction,,,, 60%. In all other directions, only 18% of their pounces were successful".

I didn’t know that Sharpies are Trump’s “signature” writing implement for enacting all his crap policies. I like them less now.

We need more global Cargo Bike People!

At cargobikelife.com we have many forum threads for various topics. One of which is a regional forum for area-specific topics. Currently, we need more people and information to come into the South Pacific, South America, Central America, and Mexico regions.

Tonight I made scallion pancakes and joined 小红书 … I guess I’m getting in touch with my younger sinophile self? Fun fact: I studied abroad in Harbin, China.

Streets in Denver are still too snowy/icy for my kids to ride bikes. Drove 4 kids to school today…wish we had more options but carpooling is a decent way to reduce the number of cars on our roads.

Spare me your "cyclists are dangerous" comments. In my years of parenting as my kids leave the house to play, go to school, go out with friends or do anything outside, I’ve never once had to say Watch out for people on bicycles.

Was tempted to buy this cute bike decor…but the last think I need is more stuff to manage. So basically I gave myself a gift by not buying it.

Question for friends who are sharing their “Year in Strava:” do you have a watch that tracks activity or do manually start tracking using the phone app each time you exercise? I track many of my longer rides but often forget short rides.

My daughter goes to a charter school and I swears she’s making friends with kids who live the farthest away from us just to spite me, her mom who hates driving. 🤣

I love the show “Shrinking,” but it just seems so illogical that Jimmy would drive an old Ford Bronco with no seatbelts and open sides after his wife was killed in a car crash! Don’t the writers need to at least have him address this choice!?

Awesome seeing new bike amenities around Denver…but electronic locks make me a bit anxious. What happens if the app malfunctions and your bike is stuck? Who do you call? (I am old, apparently.)

When the kids are on vacation from school I feel very torn between going places with them (driving or navigating the city with 3 kids on bikes) and just staying home (everyone going bonkers and not getting enough movement/stimulation). Balance is hard to find.
