Caroline Kennedy's letter to the Senate on her cousin RFKJr. is devastating. It is an absolute condemnation of his fitness for office, his lack of character as a human being and must have been deeply painful to write. Any Senator who reads this and votes for this man should be run out of office.

We’ve been on the phone with multiple agencies/orgs. They’ve been completely cut off from federal money. We’re talking housing, homeless services, public safety, etc.

I’m calling a press conference today to explain how this could have drastic local impacts to our constituents.

Let's organize, people.
Friends, I might respectfully suggest that times of crisis where you care about the outcomes are a great time to listen to the "here is how we can effectively get things done" crowd and not the "I refuse to compromise on anything ever so I can feel smart and pure and make fun of people" crowd.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has pulled draft guidance from its website requiring companies to test medicines and devices in diverse populations as part of a purge of diversity, equity and inclusion efforts at U.S. health agencies.

Yes. Call your members of Congress and keep calling. We need other strategies but we at least need to do this.
The suspension of PEPFAR is not acceptable, not even for a moment. You cannot *threaten* taking someone’s HIV meds away, much less actually do it. The HIV medical community cannot stand for it. Shall we protest? @gregggonsalves.bsky.social @idsainfo.bsky.social @paulsaxmd.bsky.social

If you don't know the history of science, before Louis Pasteur, Robert Koch & John Snow in the 19th century, people thought diseases were caused by "bad air" or "miasma." @aetiology.bsky.social documents how #RFKJr. is bringing back miasma theory in the 21st. It's beyond insane and dangerous. 1/

This is a powerful thread summarizing why it would be so dangerous to let RFK Jr—an extreme anti-vaccine activist, AIDS denialist, & conspiracy theorist—lead the nation’s public health & health research activities. Share this with your senators (make sure Booker, Sanders & Fetterman get the message)
If RFK Jr. were to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), his dangerous views could undermine decades of public health progress. Here’s why his beliefs are harmful. His confirmation hearing is this week. Let your senators know he cannot lead HHS
His beliefs are dangerous
