I wrote up a lil' parsnip soup recipe for my friends a while back. :) Very nice comfort dish and also versatile! 🍲
Dee’s Honey Roast Parsnip Soup 3 Parsnips 1 Potato 3 Cloves of Garlic 1 litre of Vegetable Stock 3 tablespoons of Double Cream Honey Salt, Pepper, Mixed Herbs, Parsley, Paprika, Onion Granules (To taste) Peel and slice the parsnips into evenly sized pieces, and fry in a large saucepan with a bit of oil. Stir occasionally. Once the parsnips begin to go a golden colour, add the garlic, and fry for a further 5 minutes. Peel and chop your potatoes into similar sized pieces to the parsnips, and add to the mix. Stir in and let cook for another 2 minutes, before adding your boiled vegetable stock. Let simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes. Test the vegetables with a knife. If they are soft enough for the knife to pierce through easily, they are cooked. Let cool completely before transferring to a blender or food processor. (Blender makes a smoother soup.) Blitz until the soup is the preferred consistency. Return to the saucepan on a low heat. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, mixed herbs, onion granules and parsley to taste. Add about 3 tablespoons of double cream, and honey until the soup is your preferred sweetness. To serve, add a swirl of cream on your soup and a sprinkle of parsley.

Bagglyn and Grell are in the woods sitting on stones in front of what they believe constitutes a campfire. Grell is eating berries and Bagglyn is looking to the right. After flying for several hours, the knights stopped for lunch. Bagglyn and Grell did the same just out of sight. "I didn't know the realm were so immense!" remarked Grell, gawking at the unfamiliar landscape. "I b'lieve we passed b'yond the realm and entered the Wylds" replied Bagglyn. "The wuh?" enquired Grell at great volume, spitting out a beak-full of queasyberries.

Lizzy had been through her fair share of terrifying ordeals, but she’d always taken things in her stride. When her best friend had developed an insatiable craving for oil, and an even bigger appetite for revenge, Lizzy had quite happily gone along with it. One might have even called her an accomplice in the murder of each potential prom queen, even if she hadn’t exactly done the deeds herself. She’d seen the leftover carnage, though… it was enough to turn any drone’s stomach. Still, she carried on, numbing herself to Doll’s dwelling which grew grizzlier each passing day. Then, of course, there was the whole camping incident. Lizzy had watched her friends ripped apart and devoured by a monstrous Uzi, and been snatched ruthlessly into the air by a burning, violet symbol around her neck. She had almost become a victim in that oil-bath herself, at the whim and mercy of her possessed classmate, until she had been rescued by the unusual knight in shining camp gear that was V. Against all odds, Lizzy somehow lived through the sick, twisted, teen-slasher movie that had become of that night… but anxious fingers still frequented the alien-marking shaped scar that now circled her neck. It served as a reminder. Things wouldn’t – couldn’t ever be the same again. Even when the world ended, Lizzy faced it with total nonchalance. As Copper-9 burned and crumbled around her, little cracked her composure. She had never really feared death. Maybe she’d just become so desensitised to it - it had surrounded Lizzy for her whole life in some form or another, and besides, could you really die if you never felt alive to begin with? The prospect had only recently begun to faze her as life shifted in unexpected ways. She was happier now… her core felt lighter, less numb and heavy with the weight of expectation placed upon her. She felt loved, truly loved instead of the superficial reverence she had grown used to from her peers. But that also meant she also had something to lose now.
