Apparently this was me being “outraged”, when in fact I was signaling that the failure to act falls well short of what is usually acceptable. Odd misframe. Anyway pinning this cause the past can predict the future, and we all know there will be another incident.
So, a breach of confidentiality, improper access to official information, and potential misuse of office for private or political advantage. Should trigger: an immediate investigation KC or OAG?
Mayor Andrew Little says he and chief executive Matt Prosser have had assurances from Chung the situation was unintentional and that Chung has apologised.

My thoughts are with all who lost loved ones or still struggle with effects of #Covid. Tho we knew it at the time, confirmation of the “toxic & chaotic culture” at heart of Govt; that they did “too little, too late” & that faster action could have saved over 20K lives is still horrifying

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

With current technology, it is impossible to tell whether survey respondents are real or bots. Among other things, makes it easy for bad actors to manipulate outcomes. No good news here for the future of online-based survey research

Calvin Duncan was exonerated after spending *28 years* in prison; he tried to get his own case records from the New Orleans city clerk—but the office dragged its feet.
