Latest update and some WIP for my #oilpainting, produced for my #artistinresidency at the 42nd Street Charity.

It draws a one sided relationship I had with my career pursuit into the museum and heritage sector. At one point, it was significantly detrimental to my confidence and mental health. (1/🧵)

I still remember the time my secondary school History teacher said, ‘But Art History isn’t really History,’ when I was the only one in class who’s going to study History subjects in university.

I don't think anyone should have to justify their reasons for ditching one product (Twitter) for another (Bluesky) to *checks notes* people who believe in a free market. It's fine to choose one brand over another because of the values associated with it.

As everyone seems to have a cold at the moment, our #ObjectOfTheWeek is this exquisite apothecary chest, made in Germany c. 1590, believed to have belonged to Oliver Cromwell. It has silver gilt canisters for medical ingredients & tools for dispensing medicines. #17thCentury

Not all heroes wear capes…but in this case, they definitely do! Nurse capes are iconic pieces of attire & we have nearly 30 capes in our collections. You can often tell where a nurse trained or worked by the style of their caps & capes

It's 1811. You've been caught stealing some beans and you're dragged up in front of the magistrate's court. You want the Justice of the Peace to be fair, sympathetic, and focused on your case. You glance at his casebook and he's doodling the other officials.

We've created a UK Heritage Restoration and Regeneration starter pack! It includes organisations and individuals who are rescuing, restoring, re-using and running historic buildings, structures and places across the UK.

Know anyone else who should be included?
