News — A veteran died by suicide yesterday outside Seattle Veterans Affairs Medical Center, a rep from VA Puget Sound Health Care System confirmed to me.
Employees received an email alerting them earlier today. The veteran was not being treated at the facility. Police are investigating.

Many of those fired were veterans THEMSELVES. Given how thoughtless these layoffs have been, I am deeply alarmed about delays in veteran care & threats to patient safety.
