Deer have been walking around the farm again. They tend to munch on garden plants while totally ignoring the fact that they could walk right in to the hay shed. I wish they’d leave my rose bush alone.

I just finished my re-watch of one of my favourite seasons of television ever.

Now it's time for the downward journey into the less good seasons I still love in a guilty pleasure way.

Terrific film. Never has a short man with one hand in his pocket the whole time looked so menacing.

See you tomorrow for a film that maybe isn't quite as good ... #TheFilmCrowd

Medusa is often more of a protector than a monster within Roman culture—apotropaic. This is particularly true in domestic mosaics and on military cuirasses. I love this Antioch mosaic now at the Princeton Art Museum, which I photographed a few years ago.

This clip of The Addams Family Values with Wednesday Addams (played by Christina Ricci) serving a helping of Thanksgiving realness is perhaps the core reason this film stands alongside Planes, Trains and Automobiles, The Wizard of Oz, and The Wiz as signature Thanksgiving movies!

☢️#77. Logan’s Run, 1976. It’s a psychedelic freak-out in a not so groovy dystopia. Ground breaking (for the time) optical effects, colorful design, and very cool #postapocalyptic matte paintings round out this fast paced sci-fi romp. #Notthebestmodels but still a #classic 4/5 ☢️
