I would like us to focus on the nuanced progression from "better training" to "ICE has bad intentions" to "abolish ICE."
Moderates can't get to "Abolish ICE" without first going through that middle part. Push them there.

Moderates believe "better training" is a moderate position. The real moderate position in my view is "ICE has bad intentions." Politically and psychologically, I think that comes even before "Abolish ICE." Push the moderates. They must be told that ANY benefit of the doubt for ICE is unacceptable.

I don't think this is the case. Many European security researchers are alarmed precisely because of their deep investment in US networks and communication with US colleagues, many of whom are telling us to be concerned and to seek out alternatives for the sake of our own security.
