Have to say, good point, Joe.
Respectfully @Chris Cillizza.bsky.social, yes both parties have problems, but there’s no equivalence in their “suckiness.” And, yes, if you believe, as I do, that the GOP is a threat to democracy & the rule of law, then hell yes you must “line up behind” the Dems, warts & all, to defend democracy.

This case should be getting more attention. Remember that Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs were declared illegal by the U.S. Court of Trade. The Federal Circuit Court stayed the mandate until it could fully hear the case.

So much tariff talk - but lost in the sauce is their illegality.
For people who want to attend tomorrow's Federal Circuit oral argument in our tariff case, or listen live online (through the court's Youtube channel), see here for relevant info: libertyjusticecenter.org/mediaalert/i...

America, you f**ked up!

She warned us. She had a plan that would have benefited everyday Americans. But too many ignored her—because it was never really about the economy.

Now folks are scared, struggling—and we’re cooked.

The Department of Government Efficiency doesn’t seem very efficient
“Elon Musk’s hyperactive efficiency drive failed to prevent US federal spending rising to a record $603bn last month, new Treasury data has revealed, highlighting the Trump administration’s difficulty in drastically cutting the size of government.”

Here are the options on the table (which are not mutually exclusive):

1. House Dems bring articles of impeachment*

2. Senate Dems play constitutional hardball and obstruct everything

3. State AGs litigate (and prosecute) everything they can

4. Citizens march en mass

Yes please
To every Senate Dem: Shut it the fuck down. Trump’s unconstitutional chaos will kill people.
1️⃣ Oppose all nominees until OMB reverses the freeze.
2️⃣ Deny Unanimous Consent to slow Senate proceedings.
3️⃣ Vote no on all Cloture.
4️⃣ Force Quorum Calls at every opportunity.

It's time to fight.

(NBC News) - Mexico denied a U.S. military plane access to land Thursday, at least temporarily frustrating the Trump administration's plans to deport immigrants to the country, according to two U.S defense officials and a third person familiar with the situation.

Mexico refuses to accept a U.S. deportation flight
The Mexican government has criticized President Donald Trump's unilateral immigration actions, and the landing would have required Mexico's assistance.

As of this moment, the entire federal government is in violation of the Civil Rights Act and the 14th Amendment —not b/c the government has ended DEIA programs, but b/c the government is discriminating against employees and new hires based on the color of their skin.

Trump’s Attacks On DEI Are a Green Light for the Government to Discriminate
Under the guise of eliminating racial discrimination against white men, the Trump administration is launching a frontal assault on the country’s civil rights infrastructure.

New Trump post on Ukraine.

But Russia already prevented from selling anything in U.S. So this threat of “Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions” seems empty. If Trump wants to put pressure on Putin he needs to ramp up support for Ukraine. Otherwise it’s just weak rhetoric from Trump which Putin will ignore.

A key asymmetry of this era of American politics and how it’s covered is that Trump is expected to do bad and corrupt things, so when he does it barely qualifies as news. But Dems are expected to be beyond reproach, so anything that seems even slightly suspect is a huge scandal.
