DOGE was created for data theft and infrastructure dismantling and it wildly succeeded on both counts within the first few weeks of its existence. It will take a generation to rebuild what it destroyed and the breach of data is unprecedented.

I’m howling.
Recently, Clifford "Buzz" Grambo decided to upgrade his electric scooter. The old one he had purchased online only reached 16 mph and wasn't cutting it anymore. He needed to go faster to keep up with the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement cars he chases around Baltimore. So, Grambo bought a Segway MAX G3, which features a 2,000-watt motor and can get up to 28 mph. "The first time I caught up to them, I could tell that they already knew who I was," he told me when we first spoke on the phone in late October. "They had seen me before, so they thought they were just going to speed away. I was like, ha-ha bitches, I got a new scooter!"

In The Heat of the Night is incredible. Its reputation as a film about race betrays how naturally it builds itself. It doesn't feel like a constructed story, but a life of the characters. Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (also 5/5) is a constructed play. Heat tells you this is life.

In Super Mario Galaxy 2, the cutscenes on Starship Mario are controlled by a giant floating L in a special cutscene dimension.
In the Super Mario Galaxy games, all areas have parallel versions loaded based on the current mission or state of the plot, called "scenarios". Starship Mario in Super Mario Galaxy 2 has a special scenario for the cutscenes playing after getting a Grand Star, so instead of taking place in the regular version of the area, they can be thought as taking place in a dedicated "cutscene dimension". Here, a group of objects is loaded that each contains the script for one of the cutscenes. The objects are invisible in-game, but create an L shape when viewed in a model editor. Note that while we do not know how the programmers saw the objects in their own editor while making the game, the coordinates of the objects make an L shape, so it would have been a floating L regardless of how the individual objects looked. One time in elementary school I had a substitute teacher who recently came back from a trip to europe and showed us a picture of David but made sticky note shorts. I was 7 and offended, it's censoring the art!
