Can anyone in government explain what on earth they are doing here. This is reality for many of us who have a loved one dealing with the ravages of a terminal illness… palliative care should absolutely be properly funded, it also can’t take away all the awful things some people have to navigate.
I was made aware of a man who had terminal bowel cancer…

He wanted to be allowed to die

But this wasn’t an option

He ended up with a blockage that led to death via hours of faecal vomiting

His wife witnessed it all and now has PTSD

I support the assisted dying bill.
