I helped make a film, out this week, called “Rovina’s Choice,” about the deaths this man without conscience or accountability has caused — already 600,000, ⅔ of them children.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

The amount is meaningless — less than one day of salary. But the principle is important: once the armed services are paid by the oligarchs, they become a private militia, and we no longer have a country.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation has joined the ranks of cowards and quislings by saying Ontario’s anti-tariff ad using big chunks of Reagan’s 1987 radio address “misrepresents” the former president’s position on tariffs. Pathetic.

trump's consistent use of the pardon power as a tool of corruption reflects not merely a kind of lawlessness blessed by the roberts court. it's constitutes a complete breakdown in rule of law and accountability that should outrage all americans, across the political spectrum.

When politicians aren’t afraid of people there is no governance.
And the Senators ostentatiously looked down at their phones as NC citizens stood in front of them, begging them not to do this. Their arrogance and utter contempt for the people they’re supposed to serve are glaring (and long pre-date Trump).

Why has no one in the White House press corps asked straight up if President Trump has had a stroke? He has shown facial droop, wears braces to prevent foot drop, and is now taking the shorter Air Force 1 stairs.
