American taxpayers supported one of the most life-saving global interventions in history: PEPFAR

Every American is part of that success

As with deleting women in espionage, the Tuskegee airmen, Japanese internment, this is an effort to tell “one American story” that isn’t real, whole, or glorious
SCOOP: The Trump administration has instructed employees and grantees not to use U.S. funds to commemorate World AIDS Day — because the observance was started by the World Health Organization.

Federal court blocks new Texas congressional map for 2026
The decision is a major blow for Republicans, in Texas and nationally, who pushed through this unusual mid-decade redistricting at the behest of President Donald Trump.

If someone says “gender ideology” one more time like it means something, I’m going to lose my mind.

Stop pretending like there’s not an entire scientific literature on gender identity and gender dysphoria.

They’re trying to ban the teaching of that scientific literature.

Starbucks’ CEO makes 6,666x what the average @sbworkersunited.org barista does. It would take less than one day of sales to finalize a fair contract.

Baristas at Starbucks corporate stores nationwide are on strike to fight this corporate greed and get the fair contract they deserve.

There's no problem Vance won't blame on immigrants, even if he has to invent the problem himself.

A few weeks ago he was insisting immigrants lived in cramped squalor and their (white) neighbors had a right to be upset about that.

Now they're so rich they're snatching up all the good houses? OK.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

the thing that strikes me about this — again, besides it being false — is the venom and disrespect for the people who come here to work and build better lives. they aren’t “servants.”
JD Vance: "Democrats' idea was the way you get more prosperity is that you import more and more low wage servants."

Let me fix that for you:

Texas A&M is limiting how instructors may discuss gender identity and race in classrooms in an assault on academic freedom unseen in America since the Red Scare.

Unwelcome in Aggieland. Texas A&M passes restrictive policy that will hinder education. A lot will depend on how “advocate” is interpreted. Will teaching that Jim Crow laws were racist and have long term effects be considered ideology while teaching there are only two gender be deemed ok. 1/2

Lutnick is the current Secretary of Commerce and Epstein sent this email three months before he died.
Epstein mocked Trump for “leaving his nose print on the glass” while watching young women, wrote that Trump knew about illicit activity tied to Mar-a-Lago, and visited “many times,” and noted Trump’s planned visit to his neighbor Howard Lutnick’s house.

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

I've looked at all the details of this deal to end the shutdown reached by a small group of Senate Democrats. I've talked to a number of friends on the Hill to see if there's anything I'm missing. Sadly, I am not.

This is a shit deal. It's a betrayal. It's cowardice.
