Many many people on this site are convinced that Chuck Schumer can't do anything except poison the well now and needs to go exile himself to Siberia. practically indistinguishable from a conspiracy but I think the invisible hand of their incentives - "this is terrible for the country but incredible content" - coordinating their behavior is more likely.

And more problematic, a conspiracy is easier to disrupt.
