“To turn off, go to Settings > Apps > Photos on iOS and turn off Enhanced Visual Search. On Mac, open Photos and go to Settings > General to do the same. You must do it on each of your Apple devices.”
Apple has opted iOS and MacOS users into an AI photo scanning feature which tries to extract landmarks from your photos called Enhanced Visual Search by default with little notice.

can't tell you what it feels like to work in the NHS as a trans woman right now. giving my life to this service while it's being run by a man who is actively malevolent towards me
Wes Streeting appears to have asked the anti-trans nurses to draw up NHS guidance on trans people.

Bethany Hutchison, one of the nurses, said that she hoped their “commonsense” proposals would set a “precedent for all public services and workplaces in the UK”.

ALL workplaces.

ALL.

I think the best thing that could happen with this bill is that it leads to a government commission on assisted dying, where the issue is considered in the detail it requires and public opinion is sought. I disagree with those who are saying that 5 hours is sufficient time for debate.
Many MPs have significant doubts about whether the assisted dying legislation will pass its first parliamentary stage - with indications large numbers could abstain - @jessicaelgot reports on latest

The Daily Mail just won the right to say Douglas Barrowman has "cocktail-sausage fingers".

And it won the right to say his actions ruined thousands of lives, led to two suicides, and that he lied about his ties to a likely fraudulent tax scheme. Thread.

The Tories are lost because every part of their ideology has failed.

Commentary on the leadership race has focused on the candidates, but their fundamental problem is that their entire worldview has collapsed.

Kim Leadbeater - who came first in the private member’s bill ballot - is going to use her slot for a bill on assisted dying.

This is significant because it means the bill is pretty much guaranteed a debate and is also likely to get a vote.

I wrote about a development that I think might create some quite fundamental changes in the power between the state and the private sector: the role that civilian companies are increasingly playing in war.

The brothers who inherited Aldi couldn’t agree, so split up Germany and the world. The US was too big a potential market to give to just one of them, IIRC. They are separate firms with the exact same business model.
