Who could have guessed that the episode of "H.R. Pufnstuf" where the Witch turns Jimmy into a literal obedient robot was prophetic?

"I do as I'm ordered -- I never ask why.
"I never can laugh and I never can cry
"I never have lived so I never shall die!
"'Cause I'm a mechanical boy!"
AI could be a tool that's used for good. Or it could be a tool that's used to pad corporate profits at the expense of workers.

None of this is inevitable.

The question is will we continue to allow a handful of people to decide the future for us?

My guess is that they're the Slitheen from "Doctor Who".
Are we sure the Orange Evil One and his nasty cabal aren't actually Matrix Agents and/or Terminator robots?

I vote for "The Dorothy Parker Report" -- Instead of "Breaking News" it would say, "What fresh hell is THIS?!"

In the British satirical political sitcom "Yes, Minister" there's a whole episode about a hospital with no doctors or nurses, and the people in power think that's just fine. Life imitates art.
Dr. Oz, nominated by Trump to head up Medicare and Medicaid, is all in on the plan to take nurses out of nursing homes.
WYDEN: Do you believe in a nursing home there should be a registered nurse available around the clock?

DR OZ: As you know, that's a complicated question

WYDEN: No it's not. We need a nurse in a nursing home. Not too complicated.

Another guy who's not as much of a lofty intellectual as he thinks he is... I'll never forget when he interviewed the Romanian chess players Alexandra and Andrea Botez, and he didn't know what a Romance Language is.

He's just Joe Rogan with a tie and a degree in coding.
