I understand why the 8 Democrat senators chose to support the government funding bill.

It's pretty bad when a religious leader has a clear rational high ground in calling out others' hypocrisies.
A bit hyperbolic but it certainly seems to have a sizable element of truth.
The Venn diagram of "people who say the Second Amendment is necessary in case the government turns tyrannical" and "people very happy about ICE pulling terrified naked kids out of Chicago apartments and zip tying them up" is a perfect circle.

There's nothing more embarrassing than the tone deafness of putting all these people in one room to shine a light on a meritocracy being lead by someone who fails upward.
Public schools should set time aside to watch sci-fi shows. They offer so many damned important moral, ethical, societal, and historical lessons. And many of them also celebrate critical thinking and the sciences.

In other First Amendment news, Arizona now joins many other states in requiring impractical age verification techniques on adult sites, resulting in the most mainstream ones just cutting access off from the state to avoid litigation, leaving people (and kids) hunting for the most dangerous ones.

Not to conspiracy theorize but I think there's the very real possibility this is him being careless and betraying the fact they're slowly (not so slowly?) building a pretext to declare martial law before the midterms.
