Because gen AI is easier than even opening up a graphics program now. AND it can give you several options to choose from. Assuming you even HAVE a graphics program.
Yeah, artists get fucked over. But it's irrational to argue against the simplicity and speed of gen AI. Especially for non-artists.

You know what else interprets? Programming language interpreters. Whether you're providing strict syntax or natural language, you have a piece of software interpreting your intentions and making something happen.

Generative AI, by its very definition, produces something new based on referencing characteristics of existing works. If all it's doing is slapping someone else's work on the screen verbatim, it's not generative AI.
And even humans produce new things based on existing works. That's how it works.

Just like you need zero knowledge to use a calculator. You don't even need to know how to do addition. You give it instructions, it produces what you want. Same with Python code. Same with AI prompts. AI's just a hell of a lot stronger due to its natural language interpretation and information pool.

And AI isn't gonna do anything if you don't tell it do something *with a line of text*. You're desperately trying to insert a distinction with real no conceptual difference. The only thing that's changed is the level of knowledge needed to produce something.

Of course it does. Python translates the code to what machines use at runtime. It's not even a compiled language, for crying out loud. It straight up replaces the need to write binary or interface directly with hardware.

Sadly I'm skeptical. Hollywood's self-inflicted wounds are innumerable these days and I'm pretty much assuming the same will occur here. Especially if there's no long-time Trek people around the production to Feige it. And yes, that means I'll only accept something taking place in the same universe.

I often wonder how many people genuinely opposed the likes of Hitler from within his regime, that were then killed or imprisoned without their efforts appreciated. Then I think... we need to make sure to consider such things with those in Trump's orbit.

68% public support WHERE? Because general population doesn't translate to the geographic areas from which representatives come. MOST Democrats come from states and districts where that isn't a majority view and campaigning on it would be a liability.

That's an ignorant and destructive take. Blaming the entire party for the acts of the few diminishes the entire party's credibility and ability to accomplish anything. You're actively harming the viability of getting *anything* done. How do you think that'll help anything?

Because perfection is the enemy of good. Obama had a ridiculously short window to overcome Republican obstruction. If he had pushed for a public option it would have needlessly wasted that window and we'd have gotten nothing. And Senators like Lieberman were an absolute "no" from the get-go.

Politics is a big game and it's unsurprising that you don't get a seat at the table if nobody knows you're even in the room. It's not easy to break into that realm without connections.
