My one wish for the inauguration is that there is a gift bag under the seats of Bezos, Zuck, Elon etc, with a single, embroidered , padded knee pad

Need to protect themselves when they are on bended knee, kissing the ring 🤷😆

I think we all could do with some Respair, hopefully as the year goes on, we will all see some greenshoots of recovery or at least get to watch a dumpster fire from afar and realise maybe we shouldn't try to go down that alleyway
Word of the Day is one I keep posting at the end of the year, hoping its time will come.

‘Respair’, from the 16th century, is fresh hope, and a recovery from despair.

Here’s to a few drops of respair in 2025.

If Reform feel Rachel Reeves should step down over question marks about her CV

I'm sure they will agree that James McMurdock should immediately resign for misleading the public over the severity of his assault charges...

Otherwise they'd be massive hypercrites 🤔 *cough*
Reform MP James McMurdock was jailed for repeatedly kicking girlfriend
The MP had told the media he had been jailed for ‘pushing’ former partner in 2006, when the court records suggest a more violent assault

When politicians and media foghorns demand that we don’t talk about Brexit, I always remember these wise words from Martin Samuel (Times journalist) and pledge to honour them.

So, making the move like so many others to here from the other place. I am still going to keep my account there to follow the decline of civilisation, but I will not be active, which, considering how active I was, will be an achievement

This is a perfect illustration of what has caused the problems in the UK. Societal debt has never been so great, I describe the economy as a pie which over the last 30 years has grown but the share going to the ordinary people hasn't increased proportionally. Meaning we have less to share

Quite a chilling publication from the Daily Mail reporting the Leicester Square attacks.

You would never guess from the headline that the Muslim guy pictured is the hero, Abdullah, and stopped the attacker from attacking more people.
