This sentence for a teacher-turned stalker may have seemed lenient. But as near as I can tell, the experience took such a toll on the victim that she would have been too traumatized to testify, and she and her family wanted to avoid a trial. This happens a lot in sexual assault and stalking cases.

Here’s a contrarian view. Ferguson is right. The Democrats are already maxxed out in Maryland. There’s no way to draw MD-01 out from under Andy Harris that would leave it with any rational basis. Moreover, it could potentially put MD-02 and MD-03 in danger.
