Im really lamenting a lot of IRL friendships once had and probably been able to salvage if it wasnt for commitments. This weird physical loneliness was only made worse once my personal beliefs and interests shifted over the years, I am at the very least grateful of the online friendships I accrued.

I'll also add when people express these "society has abandoned men we have nothing we're not even allowed our hobbies" takes, the last thing they actually want is a return to traditional masculinity. because traditional masculinity would simply tell them to get over it and stop being a little bitch
as someone who has struggled with feeling like a 'failed' man for much of my life *entirely* due to expectations of masculinity set by other men, I can't overstate the harm to the male psyche caused by this culture of endless doombaiting about men being helpless victims of a feminist/LGBT society
