I'm autistic. Like RFK says, I can't play baseball. However, the ONLY time that being unable to play baseball has messed up my life is when people tried to make me play baseball (in PE class) even though I very obviously couldn't do it. It doesn't affect my adult quality of life.
Yes. Autistic people of all kinds contribute honesty, integrity, joy, friendship, dedication, and a host of other qualities that every country needs, no matter what level of support they might require. Some also contribute in a vast number of other ways too. Every autistic person is loved.

What did they do before x medicine or y accessibility practice or z safety testing? DIED. People died. It’s way cooler when we, as a society, take active steps to prevent people dying, getting sick, getting illnesses or injuries that lead to disability, and so on.
I can't remember who here made the point recently but 1 thing we don't appreciate as Americans is how much NOT dying we do. We don't really comprehend all the NOT dying from dysentery or e. coli or polio or lysteria or smallpox that happens every day thanks to modern medicine & food safety.

To every part of the world of every size having an election soon — Think really carefully before sitting it out, before thinking “they’re all the same,” before letting “the perfect” be the enemy of the rational & competent, and before assuming that “change” won’t end up being an absolute nightmare.
It will take years to repair the damage that Trump and Musk have done in less than two weeks. And it’s going to take a lot of hard work to make sure we even get the chance.
