Perhaps I am uninformed, which is totally possible, but Black Friday just doesn't have the excitement it used to. No stories of people fighting over merch (which is a good thing), but I can't think of anything I want to spend money on, even online.

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.
The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

Maybe I'm mentally unstable (which could very well be the case), but whenever someone mentions Harry S. Truman, for some reason my brain thinks "Hairy azz Truman".
So odd that my brain assumes Pres Truman had a hairy azz.

Why is it that no scifi show or movie ever shows screw up when someone gets teleported or "beamed down" somewhere? Seems to me it would be difficult to always make sure you're oriented facing a crowd when you teleport.

I have at least five close friends with children who have special needs. These kids have excelled in school because of these programs.
It is disgusting and ghoulish that these programs are being suspended and defunded. Call your reps. Make noise.
