New scathing report from the UN shows that AI technology and reduced social media safety features have dramatically increased online harassment and violence directed towards women.

It's also making journalists and activists lives much harder
Online violence1 is an escalating threat to women’s participation in public life and democratic deliberation in the AI Age, especially in the context of rising authoritarianism, increased repression of women’s rights organizations, and networked misogyny. It is designed to stymie women’s freedom of expression and part of a burgeoning strategy to roll back their hard-won right to gender equality and empowerment. New data from a UN Women-comissioned survey of women in the public sphere, focused on women human rights defenders, activists and journalists, demonstrates the scale of the problem and the function of artificial intelligence technologies in its manifestations. It also highlights an alarming trend in the trajectory of online violence to offline attacks, abuse and harassment, proving that there is nothing virtual about online violence. The global survey, fielded in late 2025 in five languages2, was modelled on a 2020 survey which underpinned a landmark study, an excerpt from which was published by UNESCO in 2021 titled The Chilling: Trends in Online Violence Against Women Journalists. It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Forgot to say i finished DS2 and moved on to DS3, DS2 the definitive edition had many frustrating bugs and issues including crashes, i've had no such troubles with DS1(warmastered) or DS3 so far. Aint saying i hated DS2 tho but come on, it is the definitive edition, why so buggy ;-;

What a coincidence!
4 frame comics, where we see scenes from the 1936 olympic games in Berlin : the Berlin stadium, 5 women holding hula hoops in the shape of the olympics logo, athletes doing an obstacle course. the last frame is the 2028 Los Angeles olympic logo. the text reads : the olympics have seen various forms of gender policing since the games of 1936 in nazi germany. it was introduced as a way to enforce the gender binary by disqualifying people with inter- sex characteristics or atypical gender expression. naked parades in front of a jury, gynecological inspections, chromosomal testing, certifica- tions that only richer countries could issue... these were all attempts at gender policing by the olympic committee between 1936 and 1996. one after the other, these practices were outlawed. they were all found to be flawed, misleading, humiliating, discrimi- natory, racist, misogynistic. since 2003, strict guidelines have allowed intersex and trans women to participate. despite 20 years of inclusion, there has only been one trans woman who competed, not winning any medal. yet, we just learned that the I.o.C. was looking into bringing back gender policing to ban intersex & trans athletes, in time for the nazi germany olympics of 2028. oops, I mean united states.

Been catless for over a year after our 2 old ladies passed away, yesterday we received Ozzy, a 4 month old lil boi that loves cuddling, playing and purrs like a truck. A friend couldnt keep him and we were ready, life said cat time is now.
