This was a big election for housing, with wins all over the state. Here in Louisville, we defeated anti-housing ballot measures by a decisive margin.

The future of our city is at stake. We must take bold actions to create more affordable housing and protect our vibrant community.

This is the wrong move. Judges need to stay on the bench and become an immovable vote against the regime, not give Trump another vacancy to fill.

Worried you can't speak out while on the bench? Just follow Sam Alito's example.
“I no longer can bear to be restrained by what judges can say publicly or do outside the courtroom,” Judge Mark L. Wolf writes on his decision to resign from the federal bench. “President Trump is using the law for partisan purposes”:

Q: What did you mean when you said you're prepared to send 'more than the National Guard' into American cities?

TRUMP: if I want to enact a certain act, I'd be allowed to do whatever I want. The courts wouldn't get involved. Nobody would. I could send Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines -anybody I want

This is a great diagram
Republican policy positions are less popular than Democratic ones. Most people don't want religious oligarchy and this makes Republicans have fewer small- and large-dollar donors.

So they stretch the money through advocacy media. Every piece of the Republican ecosystem reinforces each other.

Can someone tell me why they put these circle cookies in the tin? Who are they for? Why would they eat them? They're just taking up space that could contain pretzel shaped cookies.

It's too early, I know, I know, but is there even another worthy contender for 2028?

I'm sure someone will mention a Senator and let me just say that no one from the fucking Senate will get my vote.
Pritzker: "Stephen Miller is clearly ordering people to break the law. So he should know that yeah, it may be three years from now that he is held accountable, but I think it's important for them to know that whatever they do now, it's not like we're going to forget."

Mother reported him missing a week ago—turns out ICE had him detained the whole time.

He was helping sell fruit and asked to go to the restroom—by the time she was done helping a customer he was gone.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

Watching so many people in high places go through the motions of polling and median-voter whispering can make you feel like you're in Bodysnatchers. It's worth a reminder that the typical experience of tyranny is...basically normal life. Which means we have to will ourselves to fight harder.
