In fact, word of mouth is the most effective support there is. People don't want to hear ME talk about how I think my comics are great. They want to hear YOU talk about how YOU think my comics are great and how YOU should get it too.
I think it's becoming clear that if you like indie creators, you're going to need to support them any way you can. And that doesn't mean money, just spreading worth of mouth can be powerful as well.

Hate to say this, but the only profitable parts of the entire Disney corporation are the theme parks and cruises, which the CEOs regularly raid to the parks' detriment to fund their movie divisions. They're used to Disney+ not making money. Want to really hurt them? You have to hurt the parks.

I'm really tired of the "everything should be sexy" / "nothing should be sexy" arguments about media. Some things should be sexy and other things should not be sexy and everyone needs to come to terms with the fact that not all things will please them, personally.

My hot take is that I DO find the process of learning to improve my drawing skills miserable, however my want to actually get better at it eventually overides the discomfort of being bad at it.

I think people tend to assume porn artists do it for the clout because of a specific subset of people making bad faith arguments, but alot of us really do create this stuff because it's captivating to us.

This is a small-potatoes argument but I think it's true for a lot of other artists-- drawing erotica and getting to share it with you is an incredibly fulfilling part of my life as an artist and person and having that taken away would leave me with a void in my heart so vast it's hard to think about
