Sweet Punkin. Big Pun. Punlee. Camp Pendleton. You truly were the best cat in the world. You loved everyone, always had a snuggle and a purr. Loved to share a snack. We were new moms together, something. I never thought I would bond with a cat over. I will miss you every single day. 🧡🐈

For a parent this is a nightmare. You always think, “those things on the news, they don’t happen here” They happen everywhere. We got lucky yesterday, as so far the investigation is leading them to the conclusion that it was swatting. For the kids, teachers and parents it was a long 2 hours.

For the entirety of my privileged existence the United States was the place where people fleeing persecution could come and live safely, share their talents, and feel safe. It’s terrifying that at this point in the middle of my life that is no longer the case.
