I'd love for Nebula to be for indie filmmakers what it is for indie video essayists, explainers, and documentarians. We should build out a community of folks who have proven they're committed to the work, then help elevate them to the next level with opportunities and resources.
Any indie filmmakers looking for a home for their short or indie feature?

You only need to know as much as you need to tell your story. Sometimes that’s a lot, but it can be a lot less than you think.
I really want more writers to embrace “I don’t know.” You don’t have to know how all of your mythology perfectly fits. You don’t need to know how the magic works or how the lore all connects.

Sometimes fantasy stories are just isolated little fables, best understood by the heart, not the head.

@riqkquinn.bsky.social and I wanted a design container that felt different from typical comic covers and had structural and motivic connection to the art in the book. Went through many iterations before we found this one!

Can I just say, making fun of New Jersey was only ever a thing because the New Yorkers who wrote TV shows in the 90s only knew about three states.

New Jersey is great.

Here are the four new preview pages from SPECTRUM issue 2 that premiered online yesterday.
That fourth one was FUN to put together.

Fun fact: everything in SPECTRUM completed before the third page here was done before my Miles Davis graphic novel—like an 18-month gap!

Did you get a chance to read SPECTRUM issue 1 yet? If so, tell four friends, and instruct them to each tell four friends, and eventually we'll have made some kind of "pyramid" kind of scheme--wait, I'm being told that this is a BAD thing, sorry.

Just read the book and get hyped!

ENDLESS FANTASIA follows Jack & Jill, two teenagers who hunt down shadowy demons called “Wolves.” Together, they protect EverAfter — a sprawling city in the sky, inhabited by reimagined characters from classic fairytales and storybooks.

Think Sonic meets Kingdom Hearts, with a little bit of Shrek.

It went by so fast.

The cast and crew of "Superman & Lois" make the most (and then some) of the reduced budget for their final season, building to a shattering climactic episode that gets to the heart of why Superman has endured for nearly a century. www.ign.com/articles/sup...
Superman & Lois Season 4 Review - IGN
Despite losing much of its cast and having to stage a Man of Steel-Doomsday bout on a shoestring, Superman & Lois crafts an incredibly moving final season.

I tell my students that the “comics industry,” as nebulous as that is, continues to basically be friendly to outsider art and so-called “amateur” styles. You don’t need some expert’s permission. Make comics!
be less afraid to create clumsy comics. awkward tangents. amateur lettering. weird sequentials and pacing. You Can Just Make it. you dont need to be trapped in a cycle of perfectionism and imposter syndrome when you could have a finished work instead. print that thing out and staple it!!!

If you're a big music nerd, you can pretty much follow along, one measure per panel (not when things happen BETWEEN panels, though).
