My Dad escaped the Nazis in 1939 on the Kindertransport.
He went to night school then University, trained as a physicist. Married my mum, brought up 3 kids, all work in public sector.
Under these proposed rules, he would have been deported.

I would be grateful if my fellow Roman Catholics would take a ****ing breath and consider where our all too recent willingness to cosy up to fascist authoritarians got us before leaning forward to kiss their hand again.

I agree. Since I started going to church again, it has lifted my mood considerably. I'm not an idiot. I believe in science, the Big Bang and evolution. Neither do I use religion to put others down. I'm just someone who has found some peace after difficult times.
