I am working on some background material for a character. Free writing what is going through his mind, thoughts, etc. A good exercise, even if I am not getting a lot of words down

Time to start the final sprint, keep going! #TWSsprints, write for another 15mins. #amwriting Free yourself from the writing process, just write whatever comes out down. You will go back later and revise, just keep writing! #words #writers #writing #writingsprints

A5. Do you make yourself a nice cup of coffee or an iced strawberry matcha latte (like some of us)?
LOL. I tell people that good fiction is in choosing good, 'specific' details. Like this! :-)

Q5. What kind of practical tasks do you do to keep yourself motivated to keep writing? Do you make yourself a nice cup of coffee or an iced strawberry matcha latte (like some of us)? Do you take regular breaks to relax? #TWSOchat

Q3. If I have a deadline, that will focus my writing goals for the session. If no deadline, my goal is to make the piece better--can mean adding, deleting, changing, so I don't think too hard about word count.

A4. I have a larger work in progress. That I have transferred to my Kobo Reader, and can read in bed, or whenever. But I CAN’T edit it. Only think on it.

Q4. Do you need to reread what you wrote on previous pages to get back into the rhythm of story or are you able to just pick up again where you left off by just glancing at a few words? #TWSOchat #writing #tasks

A3. I set a goal of 750 words early, 'Morning Pages', and then another session later in the day. It can be creative, critiques I owe, book reviews, whatever. Just write something.
#TWSOchat #writers #amwriting #writingtips #writinglife #writerscommunity #writerschat
Q3. Do you set any goals for your writing, like a word or page count? Other goals might include thinking about what you want to accomplish during the session or ways to work on the diction in your text. #TWSOchat

I used to poo-poo writing prompts, but have come around to swearing by them. 'Resonance' is great. I just bought a new one that was recommended by Janet Burroway in 'Writing Fiction.
