They’re talking about people like me and the people I grew up with, who have do the tough work for them so they can act tough and pound their chests.

ICE threatening charges against people for asking supposed officers to show their badges is weakness. Not succeeding where they hoped to, left relying on threats that likely won’t go anywhere in court (harassment isn’t nothing, but it’s limited).

It’s a sign to resist their abuses more, not less.
ICE says they will bring charges against the two Immigration Rapid Response Hotline volunteers who demanded that agents show their badges before seizing two men from the Charlottesville courthouse. dailyprogress.com/news/local/c...

like, we should not be extending the benefit of the doubt ever here.

Some things are worth repeating: Social Security is an EARNED benefit that WE, the American people, pay into.

It should not be a political punching bag. Hands all the way off.

Marco Rubio just announced 10 more people were sent to be imprisoned in CECOT. They were flown there from Gitmo to be imprisoned potentially for life based not on any crime for which they were convicted, but on unproven allegations of gang membership with no due process.

This is not lawful.

Why?

Because impressionable midshipmen might be educated in aspects of American history and society they hadn’t experienced? Because they might become too favorable to diversity?"

EVERYONE needs to be brought out of that El Salvadorian hell hole

they were ALL wrongfully deported.

I mean it's good to focus on 'And this guy was here legally and not ever a gang member AND they're Venezuelan'

but NO ONE should've been sent there

Thank you for everything, school librarians & library workers!

At a loss for words thinking of how you somehow find a way to continue doing your unnecessarily stressful jobs. I have to think your library kids are a big part of why.

Whatever the reason… thank you. We love you, we support you 💛

Cory Booker has just broken Strom Thurmond's record for longest Senate filibuster ever, which stood for 68 years.

Thurmond set it objecting to the Civil Rights Act of 1957.

Booker set it arguing against authoritarianism.

May Strom's name be forgotten and his memory erased.
