The Trump regime will arrest you in the middle of the night because you spoke your mind.

And federal agents in plain clothes who refuse to identify themselves will be the ones to do it.

If you think I'm being hyperbolic, watch this clip.
NEW: Family of Mahmoud Khalil just released footage of his arrest

“Stop resisting”
“He’s not resisting”

It’s just so good. It’s *all* so good. Every post is top notch content.
Steve is pleased. We're not sure why and everyone is afraid to ask at this point.

It’s really hard to not just make my Bluesky feed a booster account for @in-otter-news.bsky.social.
Steve is getting ready to go to the pub.

If you’re an immigrant called to court for an immigration-related hearing, skipping that appearance can put you in more trouble. But ICE has been disappearing people who show up at court so what are your options?

🚨🚨Trump’s illegal strike on Iran wasn’t just reckless—it violated the Constitution we swore to defend.

If this spirals into another war, don’t just blame Trump. Blame every Republican too scared to stand up to him.

“What had been billed as an overwhelming display of military might turned out to be a linear history lesson… from the Army’s disciplined sense of itself as a lethal fighting machine in the service of democracy and the Constitution.”

Column | Trump wanted a military spectacle. Instead, he got a history lesson.
The parade must go on, and the Army sidestepped a major crisis of image and messaging.

Some insiders have theorized that the White House installed Fugate to oversee a pivot away from traditional counterterrorism and to steer resources toward MAGA-friendly sheriffs and border security projects before eventually shuttering operations.

This is even more hopeful than you might think - on today’s very timely @podsaveamerica.crooked.com, I talk to @chenoweth.bsky.social about their 3.5% rule - the finding that nonviolent protest movements haven’t failed when 3.5% of the country is engaged.

One of the best convos I’ve had this year
Based on crowd-sourced records of No Kings Day event turnout, and extrapolating for the cities where we don't have data yet, it looks like roughly 4-6 million people protested Trump across the U.S. yesterday. That's nearly 2% of the U.S. pop!

Mobilized anti-Trump resistance is exceeding 2017 levels
"No Kings Day" protests turn out millions
Our unofficial estimate is that around 4 million people attended a protest event yesterday. Anti-Trump resistance is outpacing 2017.

Between the $45M parade, the Qatari plane, and $134M to flood LA with Troops—this isn’t national defense. It’s Trump playing dictator with your money.

He calls it patriotism while firing Veterans and slashing their care.

We see it for what it is.

Yesterday, we joined @taxgreed.bsky.social and Spaces in Action DC to demand a fairer tax code—one that puts working families first, not trillionaires. Unsurprisingly, the @trillionsfortrump.bsky.social weren’t thrilled. They had a lot to say in response. 👀

I ran an experiment, simultaneously posting articles on Bluesky and X, and then testing to see how many people actually clicked and read them. The numbers on Bluesky are higher, both because the X algorithm downranks journalism, and because Bluesky attracts readers, not just shitposters.
