MINNESOTA — Mom goes outside to warm up her car, ICE grabs her: "Please, my car kids are all alone in the house!”

So nothing has changed and Homan was just to put a new face on the cruelty, got it

The reason Minneapolis is not currently a smoking crater is because a bunch of normal media went there and talked with a bunch of people who look math teachers and nice moms who could clearly articulate their sympathetic, entirely reasonable motives behind their resistance to ICE/CBP.

I would really appreciate if journalists who have done ridealongs would speak up about how important they are to helping Minneapolis. As I’ve said many times, opsec fears are the greatest threat to the networks we’ve built. But the reason we’re out here is to show the world what’s happening.
Ridiculous. @chrislhayes.bsky.social did a ride-along that was played on @ms.now last night - the piece threatened nothing and was good 'publicity' for the cause. Hopefully they'll come around for you, Will. Thanks for what you're doing for our city & state.

The reporting about observers has been massively beneficial to our cause and devastating for ICE.
we genuinely don't need your help to do bad reporting that gets us arrested, plenty of that to go around already! @whstancil.bsky.social

Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.

abolish ice is just not a radical idea at this stage. it has majority approval in polls; it is the position of very much not radicals like Bill Kristol and Seth Moulton.
Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

What's making me really livid right now is thinking back to the years of commentary lecturing us that the rise of MAGA was rooted in a sense of righteous victimization by overbearing liberal elites, and sneering at those who insisted that it was fundamentally about domination and sadism all along.
They are telling us in unequivocal terms that if you show solidarity with immigrants who are in the literal crosshairs of Trump/MAGA, you're risking a death sentence.
