I don't know about other parts of the world but being a United States citizen is kind of tiring right now. I'm working 6 days a week in a management position and I'm still barely making just enough to survive because everything costs so fucking much right now that surviving is all I can do.

A bus of Bronx middle schoolers pulled up to the Capitol this morning for a long-planned field trip just a few hours after the government shut down.
All Capitol tours were cancelled as the guides can’t work in shutdown.
So I escorted them in myself and gave them a personal tour. They were great!

Day three of working at that place that no one can out pizza and I'm not going to lie.
this is actually a kind of sick job just because of how chill everyone is. When we have a rush nobody panics so far. everyone is like "yeah it'll get done when we finish".
