I loved these poetry books by @josehernandezdz.bsky.social and @cynthiamhoffman.bsky.social when I first read them but I didn’t know they would become my friends and I would return to them over & over when I needed inspiration or just to feel like myself again. Get you some books like this.

I think now that I'm about to turn 50, I'm tired of putting my writing in a drawer for 6 months to see if I feel different about it later. I'm ready to trust myself in the present moment and be messy. We can't always live in fear that our future selves will be ashamed of our present selves.... ?
