Traditional American politics is premised on the notion that sometimes you lose and sometimes you win and you have to deal with that.

But Trumpism is premised on the notion that any result where you don’t win is illegitimate, unlawful, fraud, criminal.

You can’t negotiate with people like that.

And we have now progressed from data analysis to policy recommendations.

I told her that we'd calculate the cash value of her candy haul, that I'd ask her to raid her piggy bank and donate 1/3 the candy cash value to a local food bank, and that I'd add on a 5X match.

People talk a lot about what the Founders would make of Trump but here we have him firing a govt employee as part of an effort to give a gift to the literal King of England
Having done research there, I can’t say enough about the professionalism and competency of the staff at the Eisenhower Library and Museum. The fact that a staff member would be fired for doing their job with integrity is outrageous.

Trump doesn't care. RFK was a "troll the libs, f-you to everyone" choice that put a compliant, if weird, guy in the Cabinet. RFK destroying American health is just a side effect that Trump couldn't care less about.
What I done get is why? Everything Trump does is a response to a personal grievance or a way to make him money. I don’t understand the motivation to dismantle public health system.

Such a naive question. Could he really be such a sap? (Rhetorical question.) The point of DOGE was to provide cover for the tax cuts. That was the only point. If it also targeted cruelly targeted programs that made people's lives better, healthier or safer, well, that was just a bonus.
