“pourqoi” is an important question to ask,
but it is a difficult question to answer.

most choose to avoid it.
few are brave and capable enough to face it.

So far I'm wondering if attending this was a mistake. There is nothing here that has anything but the most surface level of "you can hit this API and get this result" without any justification, rationale, greater picture, or raison d'etre.

Are my standards too high in wanting to know the story?

if any open source expects to become at least a little bit popular with most users, they better look into having an actually good UI/UX :neofox_googly_shocked:

This is true and I was the only one on set excited about it (and playing the song on my phone to blank stares)
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

Fuck you people. Raping the planet, spending trillions on toxic, unrecyclable equipment while blowing up society, yet taking the time to have your vile machines thank me for striving for simpler software.

Just fuck you. Fuck you all.

I can't remember the last time I was this angry.

i think most people who are genuinely upset at undertale being badly coded or whatever are just mad they cant pull off what toby did

keep in mind undertales development quite literally started because toby fox read about arrays on wikipedia and realized he can make a dialog system with that, he didnt even know about *arrays* and made a full game in 3~ years, thats impressive as shit, u dont need good code just be dedicated enough
nothingburger complaint incoming, i find the whole "toby fox is a bad programmer" or "undertale programmed poorly" shit annoying. like idk man he tried. have you tried to make a game? cuz i can tell you that most games are gonna have at least one questionable coded thing in them

a lot of people come out of a hole wearing "Certified Professional Game Developer" hats and say their favorite word "Unoptimized" when they hear that something was "coded slightly badly but still does what the programmer wanted it to"

Last year around this time I started getting into Nix. It's a build tool, a programming language, a package manager, and a whole lot more. From version pinning, to configuration management, to background services — Nix has it all.
